*AHEM* *cough cough* ixnay…!
Seriously, though, could you have WORSE timing, Tyrion??
Anyone want to venture a guess as to what might have happened if the Imp hadn’t shown up and ruined everything?
We might have gotten a closer approximation of the serpentine staircase scene with Sandor telling Sansa his family history once she made clear to him she was not there to take his shit and he best behave himself?
Oh, wait, this is D&D’s show. That never woulda happened.
What really irritates me about this scene is that it looks like it was thrown together literally in 10 minutes. The script is sloppy, the actors are under-rehearsed and directionless… I feel like I’m watching a cold reading. Rory and Sophie’s audition tapes were more fleshed out than this. It was a real half-assed job.
Yes, yes, yes! All of that. Which pisses me off no end because if they’d just done a better job of adapting what was a wonderfully layered scene in the book, it would’ve added much needed depth to both characters and fleshed out their odd, kind of creepy but very compelling relationship.
(You know, someone should start a Kickstarter for an independently-produced series of videos of Rory and Sophie doing all those scenes between Sansa and Sandor that were cut out of the show. I volunteer to direct. LOL…)
You direct, I’ll write the screenplay! XD
Thank you so fucking much.
